About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and collaborative Software Engineer II - Python to join our Shadow Health development team in Mexico City. You will contribute to building and enhancing web services and applications that support healthcare education through simulation-based learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Tech Lead to solve moderate complexity software engineering problems
  • Build new features and improve existing ones for our Learning Management System
  • Review code from other engineers and provide constructive feedback
  • Complete simple bug fixes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Python web development
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Ruby web development is a plus
  • Experienced in TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS, React, and SQL
  • Ability to work with simple data models
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
  • Knowledge of test-driven development
  • Daily use of industry best practices such as code coverage
