Our global team supports education electronic health records that introduce students to digital charting and prepare them to document care in today's modern clinical environment. About the Role:
We are hiring a Software Engineering Lead to help establish and guide a newly formed squad in Mexico, responsible for a core module within a SaaS product (Interfolio). This role blends technical leadership with people leadership and plays an important part in expanding team capacity, improving delivery, and supporting a product used by customers globally. The Software Engineering Lead will support technical decisionâmaking, mentor engineers, and help resolve complex technical challenges while collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
Build and lead a new cross-functional squad (Software + QA Engineers) in Mexico.
Own technical direction for key modules, influencing architecture and design decisions.
Unblock complex production challenges and support troubleshooting across the stack.
Provide hands-on guidance through code reviews and solution design.
Mentor and grow engineers, fostering a high-performing and inclusive team culture.
Partner closely with Engineering Manager and global leaders to improve delivery and team effectiveness.
Act as a bridge between local and global teams, ensuring alignment and scalability
Requirements:
Solid experience in software engineering in production environments
Strong full-stack expertise (Angular, Ruby on Rails, AWS).Proven track record leading and developing engineers, including direct reports.
Ability to balance strategy with hands-on technical contribution.
Experience supporting and improving live production systems.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
A thoughtful approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Availability to work in a hybrid model (Reforma office twice a week)
