Solutions Consultant Full Description

As the Sales Solutions Consultant, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and customer success by combining technical product knowledge with sales skills. As a subject matter expert in our company’s products and services, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client needs, tailor solutions, and demonstrate the value of our products and services to potential customers. This role acts as the bridge between the technical aspects of our products and the prospect's business needs, ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with the client’s objectives.

The impact you'll have: 
  • Support customer acquisition initiatives by leading product demonstrations during sales presentations. 
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies and proposals that drive additional sales from current customers by demonstrating new product features and functionality. 
  • Lead pre-call planning meetings with sales executives before discovery calls to develop strategies and questions to be asked to ensure understanding of the prospect's goals and expectations. 
  • Provide onsite or virtual support during product demonstrations, ensuring that technical aspects are effectively communicated to potential customers and solve their pain points.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of customer relationships, assisting in managing and interpreting customer requirements to ensure alignment with our products and services to their goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Product Marketing to stay updated on new product developments and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with sales enablement in developing product training plans and lead internal training to sales teams on new products and solution selling techniques.
  • Travel with sales executives to visit prospects and customers to participate in initial discovery calls, product demonstrations, or technical discussions.
  • Create and maintain technical/sales demonstration environments using Saleo software. 
  • Coordinate the setup and management of data in “demo” accounts for sales reps.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a Sales Engineering, Pre-sales, or Technical Consulting role, preferably in K-12 education software sales.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for achieving targets and driving business growth
  • You excel in a dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to address client challenges effectively.
  • Organized, analytical, and able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Proven understanding of the sales process and sales methodologies (MEDDICC and Sandler preferred).
  • Ability to present and communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and reports.
  • Strong storytelling abilities with the ability to deliver engaging and compelling product demonstrations with the effective use of virtual meeting annotation tools.
  • Comfortable with up to 50% of travel for client visits and industry events.

This role is the range below + variable commission
U.S. Pay Range
$75,000—$110,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
