At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Rialto, CA! If you're committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success, we want to hear from you!
About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Rialto, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Rialto, CA
- Schedule: 25 hours, 2 sessions a week for 1.5 hours
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with individuals with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities.
- Background in Special Education, life skills instruction, or adult education.
- Skilled in supporting communication development and using visual or alternative communication methods.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to create engaging lessons that balance structure and creativity.
- Ability to promote social interaction, emotional growth, and confidence through positive reinforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach essential life skills, including counting money, telling time, understanding the weather, and recognizing common traffic and community signs.
- Support communication and language development using structured and interactive methods.
- Provide social-emotional support by facilitating structured opportunities for positive social engagement.
- Incorporate creative interests such as drawing, coloring, dancing, singing, and watching TV into lessons to enhance engagement and self-expression.
- Offer guided art instruction to help develop artistic abilities and creative confidence.
