The Learning Specialist provides leadership and manages the development and implementation of all leadership and training programs, ensuring effective and measurable processes. Drives performance improvement and organizational effectiveness through dynamic learning solutions to individuals, groups and systems, to increase capacity to initiate and sustain organizational change, in alignment with organizational strategy.

***Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME

Essential job functions:
  • Acts as a strategic business partner and learning advocate for the business consulting with HR Business partners on learning needs
  • Manages assigned projects from analysis to implementation, may also direct other project members, providing assignments and feedback
  • Works with Lead and/or Manager to develop curriculum/courses to meet business needs
  • Formulates learning objectives by understanding goals of business
  • Assesses needs, writes an outline and recommends learning channel
  • Works with business partner to gather content
  • Develops learning tool/course
  • Oversees pilot and industrialization
  • Makes adjustments based on feedback/measurable results
  • Creates Targeted reskilling and upskilling development programs based on strategic workforce plan
  • Facilitates and coordinates leadership & technical workshops for business associates
  • Manages the transfer of training through the supervisors' involvement
  • Directs the development of the annual training calendar to fulfill requirements and objectives consistent with core curriculum in each functional area
  • Consults on developmental plans for associates as needed by working with the HR Business partner to understand the incumbents specific learning objectives based on observed vs. desired behaviors.
  • Develops gap analysis of current training provided vs. desired competency development.
  • Based on analysis, maps new curriculum, assesses resources currently available and customizes developmental modules to provide comprehensive curriculum.
  • Create reports to monitor the objectives of the team based on direction from the Lead and Learning Manager (e.g. progress on participation in key learning opportunities)
  • Assist with creation of post learning/event surveys and analysis of data
  • Provide insights to the Lead on the status of objectives
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.

Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years relevant experience in learning & development, training, or a related field.
  • Expert experience in the design, development, implementation and measurement of learning solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the ADDIE process, SAM or other learning methodologies.
  • Experience leading multiple, complex, concurrent projects.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to team members
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively virtually and in-person
  • Ability to manage all aspects of system administration for learning platforms, including configurations, customization, and integration with other systems.
  • HR Related Certifications - 360's/workshops, etc. preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred
