Job Summary  | The Sponsored Accounts Specialist position in Student Financial Services is responsible for Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)/ VA Chapter 31 students.

These responsibilities will include the following essential functions:

· Serve as the primary point-of-contact for sponsored billing VR&E/ VA CH 31 students· Utilizing and maintaining Colleague sponsorships and VA portal (Tungsten)· Crediting, invoicing, receipting, and collection allocation of student sponsored accounts
· Assisting with Auditing and Receipting of VA Chapter 33 payments to student accounts· Assisting with B&N/ Trojan Book Bag textbook information for sponsored students· Organizing and maintaining sponsor and student files for audit· Providing overview of Student Financial Aid for sponsored students· Receipting, auditing, and reconciling third-party accounts· Assisting with the refund process and audit of student accounts· Resolving any account discrepancies· Performing all Student Financial Services functions including – receipting, preparing and posting of any account receivables and refunds· Communicating with prospective and current students and providing general, institutional, account, and third-party billing information· Coordinating with the Billing Coordinator the application and exceptions for Business Office holds for VA funded students awaiting payment
· Scanning and Indexing sponsored billing and other documents with Document Imaging· Assisting as back-up cashier· Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications  | 1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent sponsor billing experience
2. Minimum of two years of professional work experience
3. Excellent organizational skills
4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
5. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
6. Ability to multitask
