PRIMARY PURPOSE: Evaluates and advises on instructional design for all training staff, manages training programs, demonstrates and calculates organizational impact of training programs, and provides training and behavior assessments, as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates the content and effectiveness of instructional design for all training documents/programs; provides input and serves as a subject matter expert on training standards, content, and practices.
- Manages training programs by setting objectives, tracking and demonstrating value to the organization, and analyzing and reporting on organizational impact and efficacy of training programs.
- Provides regular feedback on the training being conducted along with insights and feedback regarding the successes and opportunities to drive continuous improvement; creates, monitors, and implements post training behavior assessments and training strategy.
- Delivers advanced, specialized training related to organizational development, leadership and business skills to internal stakeholders, via classroom learning and blended virtual training methods; conducts training that motivates, builds competencies, and improves individual's performance by clearly explaining complex concepts and make the training engaging and interactive.
- Creates year-end year in review for Casualty training, clearly showing the organizational value of training programs through specific training metrics (numbers of sessions delivered, associated behavior change, etc.).
- Partners with training leadership in establishing trainer best practices and standards.
- Investigates new learning methodologies and technology for appropriate application for Casualty training; stays up to date with industry trends and best practices related to learning and development.
- Utilizes learning management systems and other relevant technologies to support training delivery and evaluation.
- Stays current on operational standards, procedures, and resources to enhance ability to provide leadership and maximize business results.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travel as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Certificate in organizational development and/or certificate in instructional design preferred.
Experience
Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to include application of post-training behavior assessments, adult learning methodologies, and application of training best practices for design and delivery required.
