Opportunity:

The Senior Analyst will work collaboratively and effectively with others in the organization to achieve the University’s objectives. This person is responsible for system and business process support of multiple systems utilized by functional business groups supported by the department. This role will be responsible for the development, standardization and production of reports delivering key findings to the CXO and the organization.

Responsibilities:

As this position supports a wide range of business, systems and process functions, the successful candidate will lead and manage responsibilities as a system and process Subject Matter Expert (SME) and consultant in at least two of the following areas:

• Business to Business Customer Relationship Management
• Workforce Management
• Telephony systems
• Reporting and analytics

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Providing insights on the student Journey including the driving indicator of change within reporting. This includes the “what happened, why, and what we are doing about it.”
• Analyzing various data sources and pulling information from different vendor systems to make recommendations and identify trends.
• Creating Power BI automated dashboards to review weekly/monthly activity of lead volume and make recommendations to the marketing management team.
• Ability to tell a story using visualizations /reporting tools and PowerPoint presentations.
• Meet with subject matter experts in different areas of the business, be able to quickly learn the concepts and language relevant to their line of business and develop an understanding of how their data supports their business processes.
• Understands how student data is structured in the systems, and review, interpret, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries. Develop maintainable code via proper structures, comments, and design using best practices.
• Ability to segment data based on criteria (market, program, audience, life cycle stage, etc.) to best target a specific market or user type and identifies opportunities within those segments.
• Executes Ad-hoc reporting requirements and provides valuable insights with minimal oversight and direction.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate for this position should have experience supporting business processes and information systems for business groups in higher education, strong communication skills with technical and business colleagues and leaders, knowledge of project management principles and the capacity to learn advanced systems, technology and technical environments in order to apply them to optimize systems processes and improve business efficiencies.

• 4-6 years’ experience reporting on data and working in an analytical capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
• Experience working with CRM, Telephony, Workforce Management, SIS systems processes and/or call center technologies or similar applications.
• Power BI DAX programming/Tableau (required).
• SQL (required).
• R or Python (strongly preferred).
• Advanced Analytics/Statistical Analysis (preferred not required, though must have demonstrated math background due to role).
• Ability to deliver insights and be able to present data findings using PowerPoint.
• Experience forecasting and modeling data and presenting to leadership.
• Experience using Salesforce CRM preferred.
• Capacity to learn technical systems and environments, interested in developing their technical skills.
• Experience with project and/or change management a plus.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work independently, problem solve and drive to solutions.
• Some experience with coding and basic programming languages for advanced analytical tools such as Cognos or Crystal Reports is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and excel with little guidance and supervision.
