Job Purpose
American Honda Finance Corporation is seeking a Sr. Training Specialist – AI Enablement to support enterprise-wide adoption of approved AI tools and capabilities. This role will help associates, leaders, managers, and operational teams understand, adopt, and responsibly use AI to improve day-to-day work, strengthen workforce capability, and support business transformation.

The ideal candidate is a strong learning and change enablement professional who can translate complex AI, technology, governance, and process concepts into practical learning strategies, performance support tools, and adoption plans that drive measurable business value.

Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and continuously improve workforce AI adoption and enablement strategies, frameworks, learning pathways, and reinforcement practices.
  • Translate approved AI use cases, business priorities, and transformation goals into practical readiness, learning, communication, and adoption plans.
  • Partner with business, technology, governance, training, and operational stakeholders to support successful implementation and sustainment of AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Design and guide development of scalable learning solutions, including role-based training, job aids, playbooks, leader toolkits, workshops, and performance support resources.
  • Represent workforce and field-user needs by identifying role impacts, adoption barriers, readiness gaps, and practical support needs.
  • Promote responsible AI use by incorporating governance, data protection, compliance, information security, and ethical-use expectations into enablement materials and practices.
  • Measure adoption, proficiency, utilization, and performance outcomes; analyze feedback and data to recommend improvements.
  • Monitor AI, learning, regulatory, and industry trends to strengthen workforce enablement strategies.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational
  • Development, Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Work Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, organizational development, change enablement, technology enablement, digital transformation, workforce capability development, AI enablement, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience designing role-based learning, readiness, communication, reinforcement, and adoption strategies for technology, operational change, automation, or AI-supported initiatives.
  • Ability to translate emerging technologies and complex concepts into practical business guidance and learning solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, consulting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience defining success measures, analyzing adoption or performance data, and presenting actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Working knowledge of change management methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI principles, AI governance, data privacy, information security, compliance, and ethical-use expectations.

Working Conditions
  • Work Style 80/20 (4 days in office 1 day remote) - Torrance, CA
  • Corporate headquarters business environment with virtual and in-person collaboration.
  • Domestic travel may be required approximately 5–10%.
  • Occasional work outside normal business hours may be needed to support launches, training events, stakeholder workshops, or implementation milestones.
