How You’ll Contribute to Our Mission
This role blends hands‑on technical work with leadership. The SRE/Team Lead spends roughly 75% of their time on people leadership and process excellence and 25% on technical contributions. You will guide a team of SREs to uphold reliability standards, drive incident response maturity and foster a culture of ownership, feedback, initiative and consistency across our production services. You’ll also maintain your own technical depth with our stack (Windows, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes/EKS, JIRA) and ensure consistency across pillar‑aligned SRE teams.

How You’ll Drive Success
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of site reliability engineers, promoting a culture of reliability, automation and continuous improvement; oversee hiring, onboarding and career growth while exemplifying our core cultural values.
  • Set and communicate priorities that balance reliability improvements, risk reduction and stakeholder requests; drive consistent processes for on‑call coverage, escalation and post‑mortem reviews across pillar teams.
  • Establish and enforce high standards for incident management, including triage quality, root‑cause analysis and blameless post‑mortems; monitor metrics such as mean time to detect and resolve, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Partner with product, engineering and DevOps to embed operational readiness early in the development lifecycle; act as an advocate for SRE principles while ensuring deployment responsibilities remain with DevOps.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our monitoring and logging stack and drive improvements to dashboarding, alert tuning and noise reduction; contribute to infrastructure automation; provide guidance on Kubernetes/EKS and participate in critical incident response as an escalation point.

What You Bring to Help Us Grow
  • 7+ years of experience in SRE, systems engineering or related roles with at least 2 years leading technical teams.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing engineers; strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Expertise with cloud platforms, Kubernetes/EKS, Infrastructure‑as‑Code and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with error budgets, SLO/SLI design and capacity planning.
  • Ability to balance hands‑on technical work with leadership responsibilities while staying aligned with DevOps and security counterparts.
  • Comfortable operating within ITIL frameworks; prior experience in ITIL‑governed environments is a plus.
  • Enterprise experience – proven ability to lead SRE efforts within large-scale enterprise or multi-product SaaS environments.
