Standards Aligner - Math (Freelance) Full Description
IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a part-time Standards Aligner to join our content development team. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning IXL math content to state and international educational standards, sections of widely-adopted textbooks, and other curriculum resources. These alignments will be used by teachers across the nation and around the world to design their lessons and track their students’ progress.
This is a 1099 consulting role that is remote for 6 months with possible extension. #LI-REMOTE
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Accurately interpret state educational standards and curriculum documents
- Identify the IXL skills that best help students meet the goals of each standard or textbook section
- Analyze progressions of skills and standards across grade levels
- Format alignments as Google spreadsheets
- Assist in researching state and international education standards
- Collaborate with curriculum designers to determine the best possible alignments
- Incorporate and apply feedback to complete revisions as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in math, education, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience aligning content to state standards
- Strong knowledge of K-12 educational terminology and math content
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Clear and consistent communication skills
