Do you have a passion for project management, providing guidance related to regulations, policy and compliance? The Office of Academic Compliance and Regulation is seeking an experienced, energetic State Compliance Administrator, Health Professions. Reporting to the State Compliance Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the University's compliance with GCU's state authorizations, state VA approval agency applications, and disclosures related to professional licensure programs. We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of our academic community and integrate faith.

What you will do:
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge of health care and nursing education regulations, with a strong understanding of how professional licensure requirements intersect with state authorization responsibilities in higher education.
Key areas of expertise include:
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on health care-related certification and nursing professional licensure requirements, including the application of these standards within the University's state authorization and NC‑SARA compliance framework.
  • Providing project management support for regulatory initiatives related to health care and nursing programs, ensuring ongoing compliance with state authorization standards, NC‑SARA policies, and licensure disclosure requirements specific to nursing and allied health professions.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and designated state nursing boards and regulatory agencies, delivering responsive leadership and high‑quality customer service.
  • Managing and maintaining licensure‑related data, documentation, and communications, with particular attention to accuracy, audit readiness, and timely reporting for nursing and other health care programs.
  • Analyzing and interpreting state, federal, and professional regulatory requirements impacting nursing and health care education, and providing clear guidance to business partners, academic units, and compliance teams.
  • Supporting cross‑functional teams in the resolution of student licensure issues, including nursing authorization, disclosures, and eligibility concerns that may affect enrollment, progression, or post‑graduation licensure outcomes

What you need:
  • Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information to regulators and staff.
  • Preferred experience working directly with nursing and/or health profession certification agencies or higher education state authorization entities.
