Job Summary
The Smart Campus Academic Coordinator serves as a key driver of student-focused programming and campus engagement initiatives that bring the University of Kentucky’s Smart Campus vision to life. This role blends creativity, coordination, and campus insight to support and expand initiatives like the Student iPad Kit, Digital Signage, and UK Esports through academic and student-centered lenses.
The Coordinator leads the planning and promotion of on-campus workshops, K–12 weekend and summer camps, and residence hall events, while managing the development of digital content, social media campaigns, and Smart Campus website updates to amplify student awareness. Working closely with students, faculty, and campus partners, the Academic Coordinator also supports iPad integration efforts, hires and trains student workers, and organizes on-campus tabling and promotional activities to increase visibility and participation.
Ideal candidates will bring a mix of organizational skill, communications savvy, and a passion for creating meaningful educational and social experiences that connect technology, creativity, and community.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The individual should have excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to follow department procedures/policies and to work independently. It is expected that the Administrative Coordinator will maintain a regular work schedule.
