RCC’s annualized enrollment of 3,700 credit students in 2024-2025 and almost 800 workforce and community development students are supported by almost 140 full-time employees and over 200 part-time/adjunct employees across two main campuses and five satellite sites.

RCC seeks applicants for our Student Support Specialist position at our Glenns campus. This is a full-time, classified staff position, with an excellent benefits package. The anticipated salary range will be commensurate with experience, and no less than $45,000 per year.Reporting to the Dean of Student Development, the Student Support Specialist assists students and visitors at Welcome Desk by providing the first point of contact for students and the general public needing services offered by the Student Development division or providing information about the college. This position assists students in scheduling appointments with advising support and financial aid.
This role also provides administrative support to the admissions and records office, including file and records maintenance. The incumbent works with the Dean to schedule staff meetings and prepare agendas and minutes. In addition, this position maintains the Dean’s calendar.This role is responsible for purchasing for the Student Development department, including assisting with recording purchase orders and expense vouchers to keep a running total of expenses from the Student Development budgets. Lastly, the incumbent receives and distributes mail and packages.
Special Assignments | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
