Minimum: 5 Maximum: 15

Schedule:

flexible, most of the work would be done on your own and you would keep track of hours. Then we will have meetings to discuss work products and get aligned on projects. The meetings could be in person or virtual and scheduled at a convenient time.

Minimum: $17.00 Maximum: $20.00 (Depending on experience)

Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities
Scientific Illustration: Creating and refining complex figures (pathways, molecular structures, instrumental schematics) for peer-reviewed publications.

Presentation Graphics: Designing high-impact slides and visual assets for seminars and keynote presentations.

Layout & Newsletters: Using Adobe InDesign to manage lab newsletters, reports, and promotional handouts.

Web & Digital Media: Developing graphics for the lab website and social media channels.

Branding: Assisting with visual identity and assets for lab-related projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required Skills
High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Vector illustration is the primary requirement).

High proficiency in Adobe InDesign (Layout, typography, and document design).

A strong "eye" for clean, modern aesthetics and data visualization.

Ability to take technical concepts and iterate based on feedback.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Web Design (WordPress/HTML/CSS).

Interest in science, biotechnology, or chemistry.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop or 3D rendering software.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Help lab and professor make graphics that describe data and results of our lab's research. This could include figures for publications, slides for presentations, and other material for web distribution, etc. The successful candidate should be able to use Adobe Illustrator and have good experience in design.
