Job Description 
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Student Outreach / Recruitment Specialist to support the College’s enrollment and community engagement goals.

This position represents the College throughout its service region to build and strengthen partnerships that support recruitment initiatives. The Specialist will guide prospective students through the enrollment process and provide information regarding career pathways, academic programs, college resources, and navigating the community college environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent the College at recruitment events, high schools, community organizations, and other outreach venues. Assist prospective students with career exploration, academic program information, and enrollment steps. Support enrollment initiatives designed to increase student engagement, access, and retention. Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, community leaders, businesses, and other stakeholders. Plan and coordinate recruitment events, campus visits, presentations, and informational sessions. Participate in program planning, assessment activities, and data review to support strategic enrollment goals.
Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Minimum Requirements Knowledge of recruitment strategies and student enrollment processes in higher education. Demonstrated experience in recruitment, sales, customer service, or student engagement. Knowledge of student development, academic advising, and/or career planning principles. Proficiency in student information systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication tools, including social media platforms. Ability to plan and coordinate events, presentations, and outreach activities. Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and group presentations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build collaborative relationships with students, parents, schools, and community partners. Ability to analyze data and support program planning and assessment efforts. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Additional Considerations Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field Experience coordinating events, programs, and activities with diverse populations, including high school students and/or adult learners. Experience working in a community college setting. Experience working in a community college setting in outreach, admissions, and/or advising. Valid driver’s license required to perform duties associated with the position. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach. Must successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.
