Job Description 
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is seeking a Student Outreach / Recruitment Specialist.

This position will represent the college to enhance partnerships within the service region to promote the college’s enrollment goals. The Recruiter will assist potential students with career services, college resources, and navigating the community college environment.

Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Student Development & Advising: Extensive knowledge of student development theory and its practical application in a community college setting. Understanding of career planning, career services, and academic advising principles.  Recruitment & Enrollment: Knowledge of effective recruitment strategies and best practices in higher education. Familiarity with student enrollment processes, procedures, and compliance standards. Proven ability in recruitment, sales, and customer service to support student engagement and retention. Technology Proficiency:Skilled in the use of current computer applications, including student information systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms for communication and outreach.Event & Program Coordination:Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events, presentations, and informational programs, including managing logistics and stakeholder engagement.Assessment & Planning:Ability to participate in program planning and assessment activities, analyze data outcomes, and recommend strategic improvements.Community & Partnership Engagement:Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, parents, educational institutions, community leaders, and local businesses.Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively in both small and large group settings. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and student support. Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license required for travel within the college’s service area. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach. Must successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.
