Position Salary Range:

The New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the ASU West Valley campus seeks a Student Recruitment Coordinator to join its Student Recruitment and Outreach team. This position supports prospective and admitted students across various undergraduate programs and provides guidance related to enrollment, financial aid, housing, campus resources, and major selection. This position plays a key role in the onboarding of admitted students to support successful enrollment and yield to ASU and the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.
This position is based at ASU's West Valley campus in Glendale, Arizona, and typically works a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some evening and weekend hours are required to support recruitment and university events.
Essential Duties:
Provide comprehensive guidance and support to prospective and admitted undergraduate students regarding academic programs, enrollment processes, financial aid, housing, campus resources and major selection.
Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, high schools, community colleges and community partners to support recruitment and enrollment goals.
Represent New College and ASU at recruitment events, college fairs, high school visits, community college visits, community events and virtual outreach activities.
Deliver engaging presentations to prospective students, families, and community partners in both in-person and virtual settings.
Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and admitted students throughout the enrollment and onboarding process.
Conduct strategic outreach campaigns through phone, text, email and virtual appointments to support student recruitment, yield and enrollment objectives.
Identify and address enrollment barriers, connecting students with appropriate university resources to facilitate successful matriculation.
Coordinate and execute recruitment, yield, and onboarding events including Experience ASU, Sun Devil Day, Transfer Day, New Student Orientation activities and move-in programs.
Manage assigned recruitment territories and cultivate strategic partnerships with high schools, community colleges and community organizations to support enrollment goals.
Contribute to the planning, implementation and assessment of student recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
Collaborate with academic units, admissions, financial aid, housing, advising and other campus partners to ensure a seamless student experience.
Serve as a liaison between students and university offices to assist with problem resolution and support student success.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and recruitment activities using CRM and student information systems to document engagement, manage communication campaigns, track progress and support enrollment objectives.
Generate reports, analyze recruitment and yield metrics and provide data-informed recommendations to improve enrollment outcomes.
Identify target populations and support data-informed outreach initiatives designed to improve recruitment, enrollment and student success.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities and university committees as appropriate.
Maintain a visible and engaged presence at campus and community events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in higher education, counseling, communication, psychology, social work, educational leadership, marketing, business or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to build rapport with various student populations and families while fostering a welcoming environment.
Experience in student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, student services, advising or higher education outreach.
Knowledge of higher education admissions, recruitment, yield and enrollment management practices.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, faculty, staff and community partners.
Strong interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience utilizing data to inform outreach strategies and improve recruitment outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise initiative and effectively manage competing priorities.
Experience planning and executing events, programs and outreach initiatives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
Demonstrated commitment to student success and the ASU Charter.
Experience working with CRM and student information systems such as Salesforce, PeopleSoft or Workday.
Experience using reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel or similar platforms.
Experience using Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Slack, scheduling platforms and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Evidence of effective communication skills.
Ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
May perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
