The University of Alabama is hiring a Student Success Coach who supports students throughout the academic year by providing academic and college coaching. This role implements systems to improve student success and retention, facilitates communication with student populations, and collaborates with academic and student services staff to enhance the learning experience.
Highlights
Provide academic and college coaching support to UA Early College students both online and on-campus.
Implement processes to address student success and retention, enhancing the student learning experience.
Facilitate communications individually and in groups with assigned student populations.
Collaborate regularly with UA faculty, academic advisors, and student achievement staff.
Work schedule typically Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some evenings and weekends required.
Required qualification: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Preferred experience includes working with high school students, student retention initiatives, academic success coaching, and familiarity with Blackboard Learn.
Salary range: Minimum $44,200 to midpoint $55,300 annually (Salaried E6).
Position may include some travel and offers hybrid work eligibility subject to university policy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed, with ability to work independently and relate well to high school students, parents, and educators.
