Looking for a student job that gives you real-world experience in technology, communications, training, project coordination, and customer support?

Join our team supporting student success systems across UAF. This position supports university-wide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives and student success technologies, including platforms used to improve communication, engagement, and support services for students.

This is a collaborative and fast-paced role with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in technology systems, communications strategy, training and support, website updates, data management, project coordination, and operational processes. Work will include both independent assignments and team-based projects.

Successful candidates are curious, organized, adaptable, and willing to learn new systems and processes. This position offers meaningful experience supporting employees and students while building transferable skills in technology, communications, administration, project management, and higher education operations.

This position will start at $17/hour.

Required:

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at UAF.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Demonstrate reliability and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle protected information.
  • Experience with office productivity software and collaborative work tools.
  • Willingness to learn technology systems, processes, and new software.

Preferred:

  • Experience creating resources, training materials, presentations, or communication content.
  • Experience with website editing, content management, or digital communications.
  • Experience with project coordination or task management tools (e.g., Asana or similar).
  • Interest in technology systems, CRM platforms, data management, reporting, or process improvement.
  • Experience using design or content creation tools (e.g., Canva or similar).
  • Ability to identify solutions, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
