Job Summary/Basic Function
This part time job includes assisting the Marketing & Communications web team with website design and maintenance for various Weber State colleges, departments and programs. The ideal candidate will have a combination of web coding experience and a sense for web design best practices. This job is a great opportunity to get experience in the field. Days and hours are flexible to work around your class schedule. You must be available to work 12-20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Previous instruction, or experience, designing user centered web sites and web user interfaces. Basic understanding of how to build and style websites with HTML and CSS. Good customer service skills. Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects. Sample of work on a single web project.
Preferred Qualifications
A good understanding of web usability and accessibility standards. Adobe Creative Suite. Advanced HTML and CSS. Basic Javascript and Responsive Web Design knowledge. Previous experience with a content management system. Experience with the Weber State Site Manager content management system is a plus. Sample of work on multiple projects.
