Job Summary
Serves as a Student Success Coach generalist in student services and may assist in but is not limited to the following areas: connecting students with academic and non-academic resources, career counseling, student financial aid, student records, advising, tutoring, support programs, registration and student disability support services. Initial review of applications will begin July 14, 2025.

Job Duties:
Duties include but not limited to:
• Assists non-traditional and traditional aged, including Adult Education (GED) and Dual-Credit students transitioning to college by providing a point of contact and acting as a support during the student’s first semester in college and beyond.
• Assists new and currently enrolled college students with the following HCTC supports: advising and registration, Blackboard and Student Account Center set-up and navigation, and assists with completion of various applications (FAFSA, scholarships, graduation, etc.).
• Monitors assigned students’ progress using a case management approach to confirm that the connections are made and maintaining student tracking reports.
• Organizes and/or participates in online and in-person classroom visits/workshops and other events including student resource fairs.
• Participates in HCTC/KCTCS and State/National Professional Development trainings, workshops, meetings and conferences and provides group feedback.
• Attends HCTC and community activities and assists with retention efforts by acting as a liaison with community resource providers and in-house HCTC student services resources.
• Completes work duties required by grant guidelines.
• Provides support to Peer Mentors and other staff as needed.
• Promotes services and responsibilities required under ADA, 504, and 508 federal laws, advocating for the rights of students with disabilities.
• Maintains a flexible work schedule that may require coverage of evenings or weekends, as well as travelling to other HCTC campuses on a regular basis.
