Job Summary
The Transfer Operations Supervisor assists in all aspects of the student admission and record maintenance process.
· Assists in evaluations of academic transcripts, test scores, and other credentials.
· Prepares, verifies, and enters data into computerized student information systems.
· Manages student university records by performing clerical activities to maintain student files.

This employee helps supervise employees and processes by coordinating and overseeing work assignments in student service functions within the department. Ensures relevant policies, procedures and laws are implemented. Participates in the interview process as well as assesses, develops and provides training for new and existing employees. Supervises Area processes by coordinating and overseeing workflow. Responsible for the training of office staff in all area processes. Supervisors need to be proactive in responding or providing guidance when problems arise. This position has the authority to determine appropriate training needs and the ability to orchestrate multiple tasks simultaneously is essential. This employee will directly supervise a small team of part-time and seasonal evaluators.

The Transfer Operations Supervisor’s primary focus for support will be Transfer, Returning, and Second Bachelor student populations and projects tied to these application types. They may assist, however, with all application types and processing needs in the undergraduate operations area.
This supervisor will correspond with campus partners including students, parents, other on campus departments, etc. to answer questions relating to admission policy, submission and processing of related documentation, and connect students to on campus resources. This position does not include active recruitment of potential applicants.

Responsibilities

Supervises employees and processes including prioritizing daily work activities, evaluating outcomes and recommending changes in the area. Supervises Area staff and oversees scheduling of staff shifts. Organizes and delegates workload of area functions on a daily basis. Responsible for completing evaluation of application materials. Maintaining consistent contact/liaise with campus partners.

Organizes and conducts staff meetings. Responsible for training staff to assist in daily workload for the area. Responsible to maintain an up-to-date desk manual of all area processes to be used for training new staff and as a tool for current staff members. Prepares employee work schedules; discuss time-off requests with area manager for final approval.

Maintains documentation of work processes. Investigates and resolves computer input and processing errors.

Provides human resources activities by assisting in the selection of employees and evaluating performance.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in a related field, with two of those years working as a supervisor, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); knowledge of related trade or department specific equipment, systems and procedures. Demonstrated organizational, human relations and effective communication skills are also required. Some areas of assignment may require additional experience, specific licensures or registrations.
