System Administrator Full Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Systems Administrator to manage, monitor, and enhance our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining servers, networks, storage systems, and related hardware and software to ensure high availability and performance of all critical systems.
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux environments).
 • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and reliability issues.
 • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems.
 • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
 • Maintain and secure firewalls, VPNs, and other security infrastructure.
 • Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardware/software upgrades.
 • Support endpoint management, including imaging and software deployment.
 • Document network configurations, procedures, and system updates.
 • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for technical support and procurement.
 • Provide tier 2/3 support for complex IT issues escalated from the helpdesk.
 
 
 Qualifications:
 • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
 • Experience: 3+ years in IT systems or infrastructure administration.
 • Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft (MCSA/Microsoft 365), Cisco (CCNA), VMware (VCP), or similar.
 
 
 Technical Skills:
 • Strong knowledge of server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
 • Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration
 • Experience with network devices (switches, routers, firewalls – e.g., Cisco, Fortinet)
 • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365)
 • Knowledge of backup systems
 • Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
