The Systems Administrator delivers technical support and system administration for software applications within the Research Information Technology Office, focusing on diagnosing and resolving customer issues, managing user accounts, enforcing security protocols, and documenting system access.

- Provides system administration support to software applications and program IT needs within the Research Information Technology Office.
- Diagnoses and resolves customer problems using management platforms and remote access tools, escalating issues as needed.
- Creates user accounts, researches and resolves customer inquiries, ensures compliance with security safeguards, and documents access.
- Requires bachelor’s degree plus three years experience or associate’s degree plus five years experience in a relevant field.
- Must have knowledge of IT best practices, software administration support, and experience in customer support and communication.
- Familiarity with managing Cloud and virtual environments and troubleshooting computer hardware issues is necessary.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and successfully complete a Tier one investigation.
- U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
- Preferred knowledge includes DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Active Directory, and experience managing multiple projects.
- Active Security+, CISSP certification, or ability to obtain within one year is preferred.
