Systems Analyst, Information Technology Full Description

Position Summary: Provide technical support for the implementation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the school's server infrastructure, endpoint management environment, and enterprise technology services. Assist the Systems Administrator in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient computing systems by performing system administration, endpoint management, software deployment, monitoring, and operational support. Serve as a technical resource for complex issues escalated from the Service Desk and participate in documentation, user training, and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to university IT standards and change management procedures. Partner with University departments to develop and implement university-wide technologies. Partner with consultants, vendors, and IT departments to resolve technical, operational and security needs. Qualifications: Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience, including experience with linux server administration, Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, and level 2 desktop support.or an equivalent combination of education.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an arts, media, or higher education environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, server administration, Active Directory, endpoint management platforms, virtualization, networking, and enterprise security practices. Ability to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and support server infrastructure, endpoint management solutions, hardware, software, and related technologies in a complex computing environment. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, scripting, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, create technical documentation, collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical users, and adapt to evolving technologies while following university IT standards and change management procedures.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience supporting technology in higher education or creative computing environments, including content management systems, and specialized academic software. Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application to teaching, learning, and administrative operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships, manage competing priorities, and effectively support faculty, staff, students, vendors, and university partners.
Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $84,700.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
