Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.  | Experience providing technical support for computer hardware, operating systems, and common productivity software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar). Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems and peripheral devices such as printers and scanners. Experience managing or maintaining computer systems through imaging, updates, or configuration tools. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with end users and colleagues in both technical and non-technical terms. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliable customer service in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications  | Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments in an enterprise or higher-education setting. Experience using endpoint management platforms such as JAMF Pro, Microsoft Intune, or similar tools. Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook permissions management, and file-share access controls. Experience maintaining computer inventory, asset tracking, or software licensing systems. Skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation or end-user guides.

Job Duties 
The Systems Support Specialist II provides technical support as part of the Student Success Technology Services (SSTS) team. This position delivers desktop and endpoint support for the Division of Student Success, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology services for staff and student employees. Provide desktop support for Windows and macOS systems, including installation, configuration, reimaging, updates, and troubleshooting. Administer and maintain managed Apple devices using JAMF Pro, including policy deployment, inventory, and compliance. Support routine maintenance and lifecycle management of computer hardware, peripherals, and printers. Maintain accurate computer inventory and asset tracking. Perform account, permission, and access management tasks for shared mailboxes, departmental file shares, and group memberships. Collaborate with team members to test and deploy system updates, new software packages, and security configurations. Provide responsive technical support to staff and student workers via service requests, remote assistance, and in-person support. Contribute to documentation of procedures, system standards, and knowledge base articles. Participate in planning and implementation of desktop technology initiatives that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Assist with user onboarding and provide informal training or guidance on supported systems and tools. Perform other related duties as assigned.
