Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.  | Experience in full life cycle recruiting (posting, recruitment, application process, screening and interviewing, and hiring). Advanced experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.). Experience consulting and advising hiring managers on recruitment and hiring best practices. Experience or ability to interpret and evaluate policies, procedures, and laws to develop solutions for talent acquisition, recruiting, and staffing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree. Three or more years of working experience in a talent acquisition role. Experience recruiting in a higher education environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Job Description  | Texas State University seeks a proactive Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This role involves sourcing, recruiting, and managing the hiring process for staff and faculty positions, while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships with hiring managers, developing recruitment strategies, and maintaining accurate records. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing needs and maintain confidentiality. We seek someone who is collaborative, customer-focused, and passionate about finding top talent to support the university’s mission.
Job Duties  | Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a smooth and effective hiring process. Source, screen, and interview candidates using various platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other job boards. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs. Guide hiring managers in best practices for screening, interviewing, and selection to ensure compliance with university policies and state regulations. Post job openings in the Applicant Tracking System (PeopleAdmin) and manage the full recruitment lifecycle. Provide candidates with a positive experience throughout the hiring process, including clear communication and timely feedback. Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to continuously improve recruitment processes and ensure a high-quality candidate experience. Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the ATS. Compile, maintain, and prepare data and other metrics. Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports for management in support of staffing goals and objectives. Assist with employer branding initiatives and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and networking opportunities. Serve on and provide support to various university and external permanent and ad hoc committees, task forces, and teams. Stay updated on recruiting trends, best practices, and employment laws. Perform other duties as assigned.
