The Role

We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to problem solve while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual domestic and international sales tax returns
Maintain and monitor sales tax software for appropriate performance; raise issues or errors to appropriate team members
Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes for worldwide tax accounts, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
Prepare business license returns, annual reports, activity returns, and other miscellaneous returns
Participate in documentation and information requests for annual audits
Assist with income tax compliance projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Thrives in a fast-changing environment with a high willingness to learn
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred)
Demonstrate advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel, and capable of handling large sets of data
Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking), demonstrating initiative, dependability and self-direction to complete projects within expected deadlines
Ability to work in office on occasion
Experience preparing, analyzing and filing sales and use taxes (preferred)
Prior experience working with an e-commerce or retail business (preferred)
Prior experience with Avalara, Shopify, and Netsuite or other ERP systems (preferred)

Salary Range Information

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
