Note: This is a part time role based in our Boise HQ.

The Role
We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to problem solve while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

​​Responsibilities:
● Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual domestic and international sales tax returns
● Maintain and monitor sales tax software for appropriate performance; raise issues or errors to appropriate team members
● Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes for worldwide tax accounts, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
● Prepare business license returns, annual reports, activity returns, and other miscellaneous returns
● Participate in documentation and information requests for annual audits
● Assist with income tax compliance projects as assigned

Qualifications:
● Thrives in a fast-changing environment with a high willingness to learn
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred)
● Demonstrate advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel, and capable of handling large sets of data
● Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking), demonstrating initiative, dependability and self-direction to complete projects within expected deadlines
● Ability to work in office on occasion
● Experience preparing, analyzing and filing sales and use taxes (preferred)
● Prior experience working with an e-commerce or retail business (preferred)
● Prior experience with Avalara, Shopify, and Netsuite or other ERP systems (preferred)
