University of California, Irvine is hiring a Teacher at the Extended Day Center. The teacher will supervise aides and 45 children in an after-school program, plan and oversee classroom activities, and create a safe, healthy environment that fosters exploration for school-aged children. This role may also require substituting in the department's preschools and infant toddler center as needed.

Substitute teaching in preschools and infant toddler centers when required.
Must possess or qualify for a California Child Development Permit (Teacher Level).
Require minimum two years of experience in licensed center-based child care facilities.
Certifications needed: CPR, First Aid, TB Test, and proof of immunizations including TDap and MMR.
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Early Childhood Education or equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge of child development, early childhood education methodologies, and relevant federal and state regulations (Title 22 and Title 5).
Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse community including children, parents, staff, and community members.
The position is full-time with shifts potentially between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
