This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintaining a safe and pleasant environment, modeling best practices to other adults, conducting developmental assessments, and providing child development information to parents.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children at the CDC following NAEYC guidelines.
Set up and maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant physical environment that meets changing needs.
Model and instruct other adults in best practices for interactions with preschool children and families.
Conduct developmental assessments and maintain observational records on children’s progress.
Hold parent conferences and provide information about child development.
Assist in supervising and evaluating University student performance at the CDC.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in child and family development, early childhood education, or related field by first day of employment.
Preferred two years of child development or education experience; supervisory and at-risk children experience preferred.
Certification in CPR and first aid required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Annual salary is $35,802 with a full-time, exempt appointment.
