Missouri State University is hiring a Teacher, CDC. The role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in the Child Development Center, maintaining a safe and clean environment, modeling best practices for adults, providing information to parents, conducting developmental assessments, and supervising university students in the center.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children based on National Association for the Education of Young Children guidelines.
Maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant physical environment adaptable to children's changing needs.
Model best practices and instruct other adults in effective child development techniques.
Provide parents with information about their children's progress and general child development.
Complete developmental assessments and maintain observational records for each child.
Conduct parent conferences and assist in supervising university student performance in the Child Development Center.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in child and family development, early childhood education, or a closely related field by the first day of employment.
Preferred experience includes two years in child development or education, supervisory experience, and experience with at-risk children.
Required skills include strong oral/written communication, interpersonal skills, understanding of early childhood growth, and ability to instruct adults through modeling.
Certification in CPR and first aid required or to be obtained within thirty days of employment; must pass Family Care Safety Registry screening and attend required childcare licensing training.
The position is full-time, exempt, with an annual salary of $35,802.
