NC State University is hiring a Teaching Assistant for the Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) Program: Elevate. The TA will co-teach and lead instructional sessions for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, provide academic accommodations and modifications, support vocational and life skills development, and assist in evaluating student performance.
Highlights
Co-teach and facilitate courses focusing on college readiness, academic support, career development, life skills, and personal development.
Develop and modify lesson plans to meet individual student needs using Universal Design for Learning principles.
Track and report student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
Provide support for students enrolled in general education or audit-based courses.
Must be currently enrolled NC State University graduate students in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Master's degree and enrollment in the GSSP program required.
Experience as a teacher, instructor, or counselor, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace required.
Temporary position from August 16 to May 15, 2027, with up to 20 hours per week.
