NC State University is hiring a Teaching Assistant – Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) Program: Elevate. This position supports classroom instruction for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities by co-teaching courses, providing academic accommodations, developing lesson plans, and assisting in evaluating student performance within the Elevate program.
Highlights
Co-teach and facilitate courses on college readiness, academic support strategies, career development skills, life skills, and personal development.
Develop and modify instructional materials based on individual student needs using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
Track and report student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Provide individualized support to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and assist students enrolled in general education courses.
Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Must be a currently enrolled NC State University graduate student in good academic standing with a Master’s degree.
Work experience as a teacher, instructor, or counselor is required along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred experience includes working with individuals with disabilities, event planning, data management, and familiarity with inclusive education.
Temporary position from August 16, 2026, to May 15, 2027, with up to 20 hours per week.
