Events Marketing
Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of 100+ events that drive business results and create meaningful brand experiences. You will play a crucial role in shaping the event program strategy, taking ownership of event planning and activation, identifying new ideas and opportunities, optimizing operational effectiveness, and assessing program performance and results. You not only maintain the existing event program but also enhance it by elevating it to new heights. This position reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing and manages an Events Manager. This remote-based role may require occasional travel to our most important events.
The impact you'll have:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic marketing plan and budget for all events, taking into consideration past conference notes and metrics, self-sourced new events opportunities, and requests from the sales/customer success teams. Includes strategic planning, budget management, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing to define the event program strategy, and recommend new ideas and opportunities to optimize overall operational effectiveness and level up our existing efforts
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing in working with the marketing, sales, and customer success teams to create quarterly/yearly trade show plans, including recommendations based on your industry research and event performance
  • Report on events as a whole, offering key metrics and qualitative successes/learnings to relevant stakeholders
  • Proactively research and recommend ideas to optimize event execution and planning, increasing value from vendors, establishing unique customer experiences, and more
  • With the Event's team, source and manage contracts with event management, partners, vendors, and venues and maintain a calendar of events for sponsorship, speaking, and “walking” opportunities
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and playbooks for event planning and activation, coordinating with sales and other internal stakeholders to ensure message and theme consistency and clear business goals
  • Execute trade show logistics from start to finish, to include: event registration and payment, staff accommodations, rentals and orders from the organization/venue, coordinating material logistics including shipping, and communications with attending personnel
  • Write copy for event-related communications, including emails and social media, and manage pre- and post-event marketing and sales promotional strategies
  • Analyze event performance metrics, deliver event/sponsorship lead data for accurate reporting and attribution, and manage post-event program evaluations to ensure learning, results, ROI, and areas for improvement are effectively captured
  • Work with the sales and customer success teams to coordinate additional events such as large dinners, customer appreciation events, and presentations for national events
  • With the Event's team, approve booth graphics, event supplies, and giveaways

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in event management in the education space, with a focus on strategic planning, budget management, performance metrics, and logistics.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful event marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Hands-on experience managing events and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure success.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently in a deadline-oriented environment while juggling multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Strong project management skills, analytical ability, and both creative and strategic thinking.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience driving marketing KPIs such as demos and meeting signups.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and budget management.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%

U.S. Pay Range
$70,000—$90,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
