Instructional Designer – AI & Technical Enablement

Job Summary:
Are you someone who can dig into sophisticated technology, figure out what really matters and turn it into content that clicks?

Our client is looking for an AI Learning & Enablement Instructional Designer to create practical, engaging resources that help teams confidently navigate and adopt a growing AI platform. You’ll work directly with technical experts to uncover the “why” behind the technology and determine the best ways to teach it—whether through video, hands-on learning, workshops, visual content or self-guided resources.

This is an opportunity to build, create and shape the learning experience, not simply maintain an existing training program.

What You’ll Focus On

  • Learn the platform by working directly with engineers, architects and product experts.

  • Break down sophisticated AI and technology concepts into content that is easy to follow and apply.

  • Develop learning experiences for audiences ranging from technical teams to business users and leaders.

  • Create videos, workshops, demos, learning modules, quick-reference materials, labs and other enablement resources.

  • Determine the right format and learning approach based on the audience and topic.

  • Organize content into clear learning journeys that build knowledge over time.

  • Create repeatable tools and processes that allow learning content to grow alongside the platform.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, technical enablement, technical training or a related area.

  • Experience developing content around sophisticated technology, software or digital platforms.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.

  • Ability to learn technical subject matter quickly and ask the right questions.

  • Experience collaborating with engineers, developers, architects or other technical SMEs.

  • Strong writing, storytelling, presentation and visual communication skills.

  • Experience creating learning across multiple formats—not just written documentation.

  • Comfort working in an environment where the technology and priorities are continually evolving.

Extra Value
Experience in any of these areas is a plus:

  • Generative AI, AI agents or enterprise AI

  • Cloud, data or developer platforms

  • Technical workshops or hands-on labs

  • Developer or engineer enablement

  • Learning technology and authoring tools

  • Building a new learning or enablement program from scratch

What Makes Someone Successful
You’re naturally curious and not intimidated by technical subject matter. You know how to pull the right information out of an expert, identify what an audience actually needs to know and turn it into something people will want to use.
