Job Description
Location: Nashville, TN Hub (Hybrid with up to 50% travel)
Department: Power Management University (PMU)
Reports To: PMU Program Manager / Learning & Development Lead

Power Management University (PMU) is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Technical Trainer to deliver high-impact training programs to a diverse audience. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching, technology, and energy management. You will be responsible for delivering, maintaining, and evolving training content related to Schneider Electric’s Power & Energy Management solutions.
What will you do?
- Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions for both internal and external audiences, including Utility Workers, Energy Managers, System Configurators, Site Engineers, Field Services, Sales, Technical Support, and more.
- Content Expertise:
Teach and support learning on key Schneider Electric offers including: - EcoStruxure™ Power Monitoring Expert (PME)
- EcoStruxure™ Power Operation (EPO)
- EcoStruxure™ Energy Hub (EEH)
- EcoStruxure™ Foresight
- Associated hardware such as Meters, Communication Devices, WAGES Devices, Power Quality Mitigation Systems, etc.
- Content Development & Maintenance:
Create and update training materials in various formats (PowerPoint, video tutorials, self-paced eLearning modules, etc.) to ensure content remains current and effective. - Training Environment Management:
Maintain and support both physical and virtual training environments, including the PMU classroom in Nashville and remote lab setups. - Adaptability & Growth:
Stay current with evolving technologies and be prepared to learn and teach new topics as the business and product offerings grow. - Travel & Delivery Flexibility:
Travel up to 50% to deliver private, onsite training sessions at customer or Schneider Electric locations. - Media Comfort:
Be comfortable teaching in front of both live and virtual audiences and on camera for recorded sessions.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in technical training, learning & development, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and energy management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with instructional design and content creation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Camtasia, Articulate, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience with Software and Hardware listed (PME, EPO, EEH, Meters, etc)
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, power monitoring, or industrial automation.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning development.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
