General Job Description  | This is a professional position responsible for the coordination of technology resources and training for the College of Business. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Associate Dean.
Essential Job Functions  | 1. Oversees all technology needs for the college, including but not limited to the purchase and repair of equipment and training of faculty and staff.2. Supervises graduate and undergraduate student workers.3. Coordinates technology needs with the Office of Information Technology Services.4. Directs the maintenance of computer laboratories.5. Researches computer solutions for college needs and works with vendors for specifications, pricing, installation, and training.6. Consults with faculty and the college’s leadership team on technology needs and issues. Recommends technology purchases for the college.7. Oversees the college’s lecture capture system and video displays in addition to hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.8. Supervises the backup of college computer systems.
Non-Essential Job Functions  | 1. Responds to technology requests, inquiries, and email.2. Serves on committees as assigned.3. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  | The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

1. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, university policies and procedures.2. Knowledge and application of one or more programming languages, including web-based programming.3. Physical Demands  |
Required Education  | Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer technology, or a related field is required. Related experience may be substituted for required education on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources.
Required Experience and Training  | Five years of related experience is required. Experience in PC and peripheral installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting is required.
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree is preferred. Technical certifications are preferred.
Special Conditions for Eligibility  | This is a security-sensitive position subject to criminal record check.
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug and alcohol testing.
This is an IT-sensitive position subject to the Computer and Network Security policy.
