University of California, Irvine is hiring a Temporary Student Engagement Coordinator. This role involves managing and coordinating student outreach and retention programs, advising the Native American Recruitment & Retention Initiative, overseeing the laptop loan program, and supervising student employees to ensure successful execution of initiatives.

Manage and coordinate SOAR signature programs and events, including student engagement initiatives.
Advise the Native American Recruitment & Retention Initiative (NARRI) and oversee campus visit programs.
Manage the laptop loan program, including equipment coordination and troubleshooting with OIT.
Supervise and provide guidance to eight student employees comprising paid staff and interns.
Coordinate day-to-day program operations and support student staff execution of SOAR initiatives.
Required bachelor’s degree in education, student affairs, counseling, communications, or related field.
Experience in program coordination, event management, and student-focused initiatives in higher education or community settings.
Strong organizational, communication, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred experience with student recruitment, retention, Native American/Indigenous student support, and equipment loan programs.
Compensation ranges from $24.84 to $41.34 per hour with additional benefits including medical insurance and retirement plans.
