The designer will produce print and digital visual materials to support PHHI's research and outreach, coordinate with vendors, collaborate with communications staff, and ensure all designs comply with N.C. Highlights

Develop and update PHHI collateral and program-specific materials including recipe cards, lesson plans, e-newsletters, and digital media visuals.
Design, layout, and oversee production of artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs, and infographics.
Coordinate vendor relationships, prepare specifications, and manage estimate approvals.
Collaborate extensively with the Extension associate for communications.
Strong working knowledge required for Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and InDesign), and printing/publishing processes.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of relevant visual/graphic arts experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to varied audiences and experience working with multicultural teams preferred.
Position offers approximately 20 hours of work per week.
Compensation range: $20 to $25 per hour.
