Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Global Recruitment, this position advises and engages prospective students interested in enrolling in Thunderbird School of Global Management undergraduate degree programs. This role contributes to the development and execution of recruitment strategies and clearly communicates application and enrollment policies, procedures, and timelines, providing guidance and resolution in alignment with established university standards. This person supports marketing and communication initiatives related to undergraduate enrollment and plans, organizes, and coordinates activities, and events that advance Thunderbird's undergraduate presence.
This role centers on building meaningful connections and inspiring prospective students to take action. Success requires professionalism, and an engaging, empathetic communication style grounded in warmth and enthusiasm. While the position demands initiative and self-direction, outcomes are achieved collaboratively. At its core, this role calls for a motivated team builder and organizational contributor with a strong commitment to results.
This position is based at Arizona State University's Downtown Campus.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000; to commensurate with education and experience
Essential Duties:
Serves as the primary point of contact for prospective incoming first year and transfer students interested in applying to Thunderbird undergraduate programs.
Acts as a liaison and develops strong relationships with prospective students and their families through phone contact, a variety of electronic media, and face-to-face meetings to ensure a seamless transition to the university.
Utilizes PeopleSoft and ASU information systems to monitor and accurately inform prospective students.
Utilizes CRM to record phone interactions, correspondence, and visits and to monitor and follow up with prospective students in a timely manner.
Works with Admission Services to ensure synergies within ASU recruitment across multiple campuses and colleges.
Plans, organizes and coordinates events, activities, functions and programs associated with Thunderbird and Admission Services.
Assists with the development of recruitment strategies in partnership with Thunderbird and Admission Services.
Plans and implements activities related to new student enrollment goals.
Monitors recruitment and enrollment trends from assigned targeted student population, and conducts analysis of enrollment data pertaining to assigned campus sites.
Serves as the relationship manager of strategic partners, regularly meeting and proactively establishing relationships with new groups.
Represents the college/department and serves on various department and university committees.
Provides assistance with various student visit programs, appointments, presentations and events, including on- and off-campus functions.
Hires, trains and develops student workers to enliven, engage and positively impact incoming students.
Assists with the development of communication and marketing materials from conceptualization to delivery, including emails, videos and print pieces.
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international undergraduate admission practices, principles, trends, and strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of ASU academic requirements and admission policies.
Experience in strategic planning, decision-making, and program design and development.
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, including coordinating the work of self and others.
Experience developing and delivering workshops and presentations to diverse audiences.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Experience working in fast-paced environments requiring multitasking, frequent interruptions, and reprioritization of competing priorities.
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Frequent travel, involving operation of a motor vehicle.
Use office equipment including a calculator, telephone, computer (monitor, keyboard and mouse), printer, fax and copier.
This position receives general review of objectives.
Occasional evenings and weekends are expected.
