The Training Coordinator & NHO Trainer hybrid role is responsible for delivering a high-quality, engaging, and professional onboarding and training experience for all new employees entering the SkyWater Florida facility.

This position blends hands-on instruction, classroom facilitation, orientation coordination, training administration, and continuous improvement of training processes. It serves as a primary point of contact for new hires while ensuring they gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully integrate into SkyWater’s cleanroom and operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

New Hire Orientation & Training Delivery

  • Deliver classroom and hands-on training covering company culture, cleanroom requirements, workplace expectations, support resources, policies, processes, and other assigned topics.
  • Facilitate an energetic, engaging, and professional orientation experience that helps new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to SkyWater. Introducing new hires to leaders, supervisors, Group Leaders, SMEs, and other key partners.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective instruction to address performance gaps related to skills, behavior, quality, or integration.

New Hire Orientation Coordination & Experience Management

  • Coordinate orientation room setup, training materials, technology, signage, and supplies to ensure a polished new hire experience.
  • Ensure presenters, leaders, and subject matter experts are prepared and available for scheduled orientation sessions.

Training Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain Learning Management System (LMS) entries, training records, certification documents, and other required training databases.
  • Assist employees with training system access, certification plans, documentation, support tools, and outstanding requirements.
  • Support new hires as they transition from orientation into department-specific training and certification.
  • Deliver Waterfall curriculum training and administer associated exams, as assigned.

Training Content & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and revision of training materials, presentations, hands-on activities, job aids, and instructional tools.
  • Support creation and maintenance of documentation for new tools and processes, including OIs, training checklists, and certification exams to ensure standardized training practices across all SkyWater sites.
  • Gather feedback from new hires, leaders, and trainers and recommend improvements to orientation and training systems.

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with HR, Security, IT, Operations, EHS, and other teams to ensure a coordinated and supportive onboarding experience.
  • Support fab operations and training activities during scheduled work hours or when business needs require.
  • Provide backup support for training team activities and assist production during high-demand periods.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, or training in any operational environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to diverse groups.
  • Basic understanding of adult learning principles and instructional methods.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, Learning Management Systems, and SkyWater’s Document Management System.
  • Willingness to become certified on all relevant tools and training modules.
  • Ability to work overtime or support cleanroom operations when needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret data, documents, and technical information.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Cleanroom work required with full gowning (coveralls, hood, mask, gloves, safety glasses).
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of, or ability to obtain, a US government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Semiconductor industry experience.
  • Training background in manufacturing, technical training, or organizational development.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across teams.

The hourly range for this role is $27.88 - $41.82 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
