The Training Developer III will design, develop, and maintain courseware for the Satellite Control Network (SCN) unit under Mission Delta 31 (MD 31), producing lesson plans, tests, and performance-based training scenarios that meet Instructional Systems Development (ISD) standards and Ready Spacecrew Program (RSP) requirements.
Responsibilities
Courseware Development
- Review, revise, and create SCN courseware materials, lesson plans, student guides, presentations, and handouts in accordance with Master Task Lists (MTLs), Ready Spacecrew Program Tasking Memorandums (RTMs), and Annual Plans of Instruction (APOIs).
- Adhere strictly to the current Instructional Systems Development (ISD) model as defined in DAFMAN 36-2675.
- Develop clear, measurable lesson plan objectives aligned with RSP goals.
Evaluation & Change Management
- Design, update, and maintain written examinations, progress checks, and performance-based evaluation scenarios, including mission-based simulator scripts.
- Document and communicate curriculum and courseware changes to unit training leads via email, briefings, and structured curriculum trackers.
- Maintain training standard development cycles in accordance with Combat Forces Command (CFC) RSP training timelines and milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of courseware development, instructional design, or curriculum development experience.
- Working knowledge of Instructional Systems Development (ISD) methodology.
- Strong technical writing and content development skills.
- Active SECRET security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing training materials for satellite control, space operations, or military technical systems.
- Familiarity with DAFMAN 36-2675 or equivalent ISD standards.
- Experience developing simulator-based or performance-based evaluation scenarios.
