Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Training and Development, the Training Lead drives the design, development, and ongoing evolution of engaging, effective training content for Retail Field employees, including Baristas, Shift Leads, and Store Managers. This role owns the creation of blended learning experiences such as workshops, eLearning, manuals, and reference tools, while ensuring content remains current, accessible, and aligned with business priorities. They also build and implement broader training programs that support skill development, technology adoption, leadership growth, and compliance across the field.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting end-to-end curriculum design for net-new and refreshed programs, including NMT, Origins, and the Franchise Training Package
- Turning operational priorities into learning assets, including instructor guides, learner materials, video, eLearning, and assessments
- Building and maintaining strong cross-functional partnership and SME management across R&D, Retail Field, RFS, Coffee, and HR
- Building assessment and measurement into every program, including clear definitions of training completion and verification
- Establishing and upholding instructional design standards across templates, accessibility, brand voice, and learner experience
- Adapting and packaging new and refreshed training content into a turn-key training program for franchise using new and existing training content
- Launching seasonal training programs to the field
Who You Are
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of instructional design, preferably in a multi-site retail, hospitality, or food service environment
- Strong command of adult learning principles, blended learning design, and competency-based assessment
- Hands-on proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline or equivalent), LMS Management (Workday Learning a plus), and video/asset production workflows
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and translating high-level direction into structured, scalable training programs; strong project management skills
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end programs and comprehensive training suites; portfolio of completed work a plus
- Excellent written and visual communication
- Strong cross-functional partnership and management with SMEs and key stakeholders
- Independent prioritization and excellent time management to work on multiple projects at once
- Experience integrating learning technologies and emerging AI tools into program design to improve speed, scalability, and learner experience

The target annual base salary range for this position is $90k–$110k. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
