Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead a high-performing training team supporting the fielding and operational readiness of the U.S. Marine Corps Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV). This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of vehicle operations, training coordination, and government contract management.

Location: San Diego, CA

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide management capabilities for contracted tasks related to the Performance Work Statement (PWS). 
  • Designate and serve as the single point of contact for the Government regarding contract matters. 
  • Possess sufficient corporate authority to manage, direct, and execute all contractor staffing and efforts supporting the PWS.
  • Serve as the primary business liaison to the NET Director, coordinating all contractor activities related to daily operations with the Government. 
  • Track and ensure personnel certifications are current, including employment physicals, swim qualifications, and underwater egress trainer certifications, which require renewal every two years.
  • Provide written confirmation of instructor proficiency and readiness to execute instruction at least 15 calendar days prior to any scheduled instruction. 
  • Participate in ACV Government Manpower, Personnel, and Training Integrated Product Teams (MPT IPTs) and related Training Working Groups upon request. 
  • Conduct and support instructor evaluations to verify the preparedness of contractor staff to instruct assigned lessons. 

Requirements
  •  Significant vehicle maintenance program and training development experience, preferably with PM AAA
  • Demonstrated experience in training management and contract oversight. 
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with government personnel. 
  • Certification tracking experience, especially related to physicals, swim, and specialized trainer qualifications. 
    • Coordinate and facilitate Marine Corps Water Survival (MCWS) evaluation and certification with Contractor personnel. 
    • Coordinate and facilitate Underwater Egress Training for Submerged Vehicle Egress Trainer (SVET) evaluation and certification with Contractor personnel. 
    • License and Certify Contractor personnel on ACV platforms. 
    • Coordinate Certification of Contractor instructor personnel for the assigned Period of Instruction (POI). 
  • Ability to lead, evaluate, and maintain high standards of instructor preparedness and effectiveness.
