Candidate will oversee curriculum development, coordinate Vendor-Led Trainings (VLTs) and, manage instructional teams, and ensure continuity between classroom instruction, simulation, and on-water operations. This position is central to executing accelerated, standardized training model used across Navy, USCG, and commercial maritime autonomy customers.

The Training Program Manager will work closely with engineering, IPS leadership, fleet sustainment personnel, and external partners to coordinate training events, maintain curriculum quality, ensure safety, and drive readiness across the fleet.

List of responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development & Curriculum Ownership
  • Design, implement, and maintain the phased sUSV training program, including fundamentals, specialty tracks, and end-to-end mission capstones. 
  • Ensure alignment with Learning Management System (LMS) modules and the Documentation Hub. 
  • Integrate new PSBs, PTBs, software updates, training materials, and version-controlled documentation into all courses. 
  • Training Event Management
  • Plan and execute 3-to-15-day training cycles, including classroom academics, simulations, hands-on maintenance labs, and extensive on-water line of sight and beyond line-of-sight training. 
  • Coordinate instructors, technicians, engineers, chase-craft teams, and C2 station setup to ensure training readiness.
  • Oversee equipment staging, training spaces, safety briefings, and daily operational logistics.
  • Safety & Operational Excellence
  • Enforce maritime safety standards, risk-mitigation practices, emergency procedures, and surface-deconfliction training.
  • Guarantee each student meets minimum practical standards, including demonstrated competence during mission execution. 
  • Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with IPS leadership and sUSV Program management to align training to fleet and operational needs. [
  • Coordinate with government and industry partners to maintain standardized readiness criteria and reporting.
  • Training Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Track training throughput, certification outcomes, readiness metrics, and student performance.
  • Identify and address training gaps

Travel Required
10-15 times a year. 

Requirements
Required Skills/Education
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN (Please do not apply if you are not)
  • Designing, delivering, or managing complex technical training programs.
  • Strong familiarity with maritime operations, robotics/autonomy, or defense-related training environments.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multi-day training events.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and program-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in field and on-water operational environments.

Desired Skills/Education (but not required to be considered for hire)
  • Direct experience with USVs, sUSVs, autonomy systems, or maritime safety.
  • Background in O-level maintenance instruction, C2 system training, or mission-planning workflows.
  • Experience developing LMS content or technical qualification pipelines.
  • Familiarity with training process, document hub, or sUSV platforms. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Engineering, Technical Training, or related field.

Salary Description
$90,000-$100,000 annually
