Description
ICF is currently seeking a Training Specialist with experience in a social services or health care environment. The candidate must be capable of engaging in a variety of training related activities as part of the training team for a national call-center project. As a Training Specialist, you will apply your knowledge and experience to support project execution on a national call center project in a federal strategic advisory environment. The purpose of this project is to operate the National Call Center (NCC) and Sexual Abuse Hotline (SAH) that serves unaccompanied alien children, their family members, and other stakeholders.
As a Training Specialist, reporting to the Lead Training Specialist, you will be part of the training team, providing critical training to staff across all call center activities, identifying future training needs, and meeting all contractual requirements related to training.
The successful candidate should have relevant training experience, subject matter expertise, and skills needed to contribute to all facets of our training program. Candidates must be able to engage in multiple tasks with competing deadlines, be versed in a wide variety of training strategies and modalities, and the ability to participate in training content development.
This is a fully remote position, with potential travel of 5%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement all facets of the annual training plan for the ORR National Call Center and Sexual Abuse Hotline.
- Developing and updating of program training manuals and materials.
- Oversee the training specialist team.
- Data entry into the staff training database that provides monthly and quarterly reports related to training and the impact of training on program practices and outcomes.
- Support the maintenance of program personnel files, training records and training certifications.
- Support the development of a staff training calendar that provides staff numerous opportunities for development, including evening and overnight shifts.
- Directly participate in training for staff, ensuring all contract training requirements for staff are completed.
- Support the evaluation of all training activities for efficacy and make recommendations related to changes in training methodology and materials as needed.
- Ensure that all call center training align with ORR policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Collaborates with ORR internal and external stakeholders to address concerns, improve service delivery and enhance overall effectiveness of the call center, and training for call center staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, particularly in areas related to child welfare, anti-trafficking, and child safety.
- Engage in ongoing interactions with clients and the field, as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with contract guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, organizational development, human resources, leadership development, education, or equivalent of 5 years of experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working in staff training programs.
- At least 3 years of experience working with immigrant youth and families.
- T2 clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of migrant/refugee issues, particularly related to unaccompanied children and facility release, transfer, and child welfare best practice.
- Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience with developing and delivering presentations and technical writing.
- Prior work experience in a consulting environment.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:$55,388.00 - $94,160.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
