Training Specialist (OHRD) Full Description

Training Specialist (OHRD) - Full Time- Detroit


GENERAL SUMMARY: The Training Specialist will report to the Director of Learning 
and Development and be responsible for identifying training needs, conduct successful 
training activities to improve individual skills or organizational performance. This position is remote with occasional onsite meetings located in Southeast Michigan.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training:
• Help plan, organize, and deliver training and development for target audiences.
• Become a 'super-user' of tools, platforms, and programs used within various roles of the organization; participate in trainings and learn how they apply to target audiences so training of these programs can be developed and facilitated.
• Create, update, and maintain training content and materials associated with affiliated learning and development programs. 
• Host individual webinars with training groups as requested. 
Support:
• Take part in and may lead formal presentations to internal and external audiences as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, professional organizations, and workshops as appropriate and/or necessary.
• Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions.
• Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
• Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as
handouts or visual materials.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• BS degree in Education, Training, HR, or related field, preferred.
• 2-4 years classroom training in a corporate setting or hospital required.
• Must be highly computer literate. 
• Microsoft Office Suite training preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme 
temperatures.
