What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Treasury Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing an efficient, scalable collections process for university-related payments and ensuring optimal cash flow management. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of treasury operations experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive mindset to streamline financial workflows and enhance visibility across all university receivables.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Design and implement a scalable, efficient collections process for university tuition and revenue-sharing payments.
- Collaborate with university partners, legal, and business development teams to align on billing schedules, invoicing formats, and payment terms.
- Develop automated solutions and workflows to track receivables, follow up on outstanding payments, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on collections and payment status.
- Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts and forecast short- and long-term cash flow needs.
- Analyze payment trends, seasonality, and program performance to refine cash flow forecasting models.
- Partner with FP&A to align cash forecasting with revenue recognition and operational budgeting.
- Recommend strategies for optimizing cash utilization and minimizing liquidity risk.
- Work closely with Accounting and IT to integrate collections tracking into ERP/financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and university contract terms.
- Assist with audits and ensure documentation and records are maintained appropriately.
- Prepare regular reports on aged receivables, collection performance, and university payment trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for improving DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and working capital.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate treasury data and reconciliations.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in treasury, AR/collections, or financial operations, preferably in a University or EdTech environment.
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis, payment cycles, and collections best practices.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM platforms).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Arlington, VA three days a week.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($95,100 -$114,100), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
